oldschoolsciencefiction:

The surface of the planet Venus as seen by the Russian Venera 13 probe on 1 March 1982. Sensors on the lander showed the surface temperature to be 855°F (457°C) and the pressure to be 89 times Earth sea-level pressure.

The lander was supposed to function for just over half an hour but it continued to operate for over two hours.

I’m a little surprised there hasn’t been a Mars rover-type vehicle deployed to Venus. Obviously, the engineering challenges would be considerable and there’s little prospect for humans ever inhabiting our sister planet.
